Add Your Resume to Your Profile on LinkedIn

Method 1


  1. Open LinkedIn on your web browser.
  2. Log in to your LinkedIn account.
  3. Click on “Me” on the top right of the navigation bar.
  4. Click on “View Profile”.
  5. Under your name and profile picture, find the option that says “Add Section”.
  6. Click on “Add Section”.
  7. Go to “Featured”.
  8. Select the option “Media”.
  9. Choose the resume file from your device.

Method 2


  1. Open LinkedIn on your web browser.
  2. Log in to your LinkedIn account.
  3. Click on “Me” on the top right of the navigation bar.
  4. Click on “View Profile”.
  5. Under your name and profile picture, find the option that says “Add Section”.
  6. Click on “Add Section”.

  8. Either choose a file to upload as your resume or select the “Create from profile” option.

  1. Open LinkedIn on your web browser.
  2. Log in to your LinkedIn account.
  3. Click on the “Start a post” section on the home page.

  1. Open LinkedIn on your web browser.
  2. Log in to your LinkedIn account.
  3. Click on “Jobs” from the navigation bar at the top.

Apply to a Job


  1. Open LinkedIn on your web browser.
  2. Log in to your LinkedIn account.
  3. Go to the job that you want to apply for.
  4. Click on the “Easy Apply” or “Apply Now” button.

  5. Fill in the details required for the application.
  6. Select “Upload Resume” under Resume.
  7. Choose the file that you want to upload as your resume from your device OR from the existing resumes that you have already uploaded as per the steps under “Manage job application settings“. Make sure that it is in PDF format and is less than 2 MB in size.
  8. Click on Next and keep filling in the rest of the details.
  9. After you are done reviewing, click on “Submit Application”.
