Turn On Profile Picture Guard through the Facebook App on iOS


  1. Open the Facebook app.
  2. Tap on the three horizontal bars on the bottom right.
  3. Go to your profile by tapping on your Facebook name on the top.
  4. Tap on your profile picture.
  5. Select the option “Turn On Profile Picture Guard” from the list that pops up.
  6. Tap on Next after reading all the points mentioned.
  7. Confirm your action by tapping on Save.

  1. Open the Facebook app.
  2. Log in to your Facebook account.
  3. Tap on the three horizontal bars on the top right.
  4. Go to your profile by tapping on your Facebook name on the top.
  5. Tap on your profile picture.

  1. Visit Facebook through this link.
  2. Log in to your Facebook account with your username and password.
  3. Tap on the three horizontal bars on the top right.
  4. Go to your profile by tapping on your Facebook name on the top.
  5. Tap on your profile picture.

Through a Web Browser on Your Laptop/Desktop


  1. Visit Facebook through this link.
  2. Log in to your Facebook account with your username and password.
  3. Click on your Facebook name from the list on the left.
  4. Click on your profile picture.
  5. Select the option “View Profile Picture”.

  6. Click on the three vertical dots next to your Facebook name on the right.
  7. Select the option “Turn On Profile Picture Guard”.
  8. Click on Save to turn on the profile picture guard.

NOTE: As per Facebook’s updates in the user interface, the option to activate the profile picture guard might not be available in various geographical locations. This is probably why you cannot see the option to turn on the profile picture guard.
