  5. Tap on the option “Notifications”.

NOTE: Turning off YouTube notifications through device settings will disable all notifications from YouTube. Whereas, turning off YouTube notifications from the app itself gives you the choice to disable certain kinds of notifications specifically like channel settings, recommended videos, activity on your comments, etc.

How to turn off YouTube notifications on a Laptop/Desktop


  1. Open YouTube on your web browser.
  2. Tap on the account icon on the top right.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Tap on Notifications from the list.
  5. Turn off the notifications under Desktop notifications, Your preferences, and Email notifications according to your choice.

How to Turn off YouTube Channel Notifications


  1. Open the YouTube app.
  2. Tap on  Subscriptions at the bottom.
  3. To see the list of all the channels you have subscribed to, tap on All under the account icon.
